The California Clipper was a long-standing night life institution on the north side of Chicago. This darkened, crimson-lit bar was a watering hole for neighbors and a destination music-goers. On any given night, one could shuffle in through the darkly lit entrance and belly up to the bar with friends. All the while having a jazz, bluegrass, or western band on the modest corner stage serve as your soundtrack for the evening.
